Celebrate Success: Etta’s 39th Bday & 3 Years of Transformative Sexual Health Programs

Who could have imagined that 22 years after Etta Turner’s death, Etta Projects would still thrive, delivering innovative programs that serve the people of Bolivia with unwavering dedication? From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to collaborate with communities and address their greatest needs. This week, we celebrate not only Etta’s 39th birthday but also three impactful years of our Sexual and Reproductive Health Program (SRH).

The SRH program has broken barriers and opened doors, especially for young women in Bolivia’s rural communities. Through our efforts, we have made significant strides in classroom SRH education in public schools and expanded to  provide women forward contraceptives for teens and women.

This program provides essential education and resources, empowering women/girls with knowledge and tools to recognize and combat gender-based violence. Over 3 years we have nurtured young women to find self-confidence and offered guidance to recognize harmful behaviors. We are multiplying  these cohorts for 2025, creating a ripple effect of change—one that uplifts individuals and strengthens entire communities.

In 2025, we are evolving our focus to pilot a boys’ SRH program. Your donation to Etta's Birthday Fundraiser will help jump-start this chapter. The barriers of machismo, violence, and inequality requires that young men begin to view relationships differently and we feel up to the task!

This life-changing and life-giving success would not be possible without YOU. Here’s to Etta’s memory, her enduring legacy, and the countless lives touched by your generosity. Thank you for standing with us and believing in the power of change!

Help us reach our goal of $3,900 by Saturday, January 25!

As a token of our gratitude, when you donate $39 or more, we’ll send you a brand-new EP t-shirt!
